Student and Family Handbook
Welcome to the Lucile Erwin Middle School Community!
Welcome to Lucile Erwin Middle School, part of the Thompson School District! LEMS is a place where learning, growth, and community come together. A lot of planning, energy, and care have gone into creating the best possible learning environment. The outstanding staff is here to inspire, challenge, and support every student. Pride can be felt the moment the front doors open, and each student is invited to share in that pride, contribute to school traditions, and take on the responsibility of striving for excellence.
Like any community, LEMS has rules to keep everyone safe and successful. This handbook is a guide to important school rules, procedures, and policies that apply to all students. Families are encouraged to review this guide together so expectations at both LEMS and across the Thompson School District are clear. In addition, students should become familiar with the Thompson School District Student Code of Conduct, which promotes safety, equity, and accountability for all community members. Education is one of the most valuable investments a person can make—LEMS is a place to make the most of it!
Please complete the Google Form shared by the advisory teacher by Friday, September 19, 2025. Advisory teachers are reviewing this information with students in advisory classes beginning Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
